Hi, I'm Melina! Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist based out of California. With so much information out there, diabetes can be confusing and overwhelming. I work with individuals at any stage of their diabetes diagnosis and teach evidence based strategies to help you be more confident in your diabetes self-management. Mission
To empower individuals with insulin dependent diabetes by providing them with individualized diabetes self management education to improve blood sugars and quality of life without feeling restricted.
Experience and Professionalism
As a Registered Nurse and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over five years of experience of working with individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, I have seen the need for accessible non-judgmental diabetes self management education. It is important to me that I provide judgment free diabetes education so my clients can feel comfortable and thrive in their diabetes self-management. Based on our assessment, I will create an individualized plan that's right for you and your needs to help you manage your diabetes and achieve your goals.
Work With Me
I have a passion for helping adults with insulin dependent diabetes. I know that diabetes is not easy and it is not a "one size fits all"... neither is your treatment and/or education. By working with me you will feel more confident in your diabetes management, have more confidence in your insulin dosing, better understand your insulin pump and its settings, and/or learn how to optimize the use out of your CGM. From basic education, to more advanced training and fine-tuning, I will help you every step of the way.
